Additional Information:

The cell wall fragments are made from a specific strain of Yorgut probiotic bacteria Lactobacillus rhamnosus. Probiotic bacteria are known to stimulate both the innate and adaptive immune systems. Although probiotics and cultured milk products have immune supporting properties, these cell wall fragments appear to be much more powerful immune system stimulators.* The cell wall fragments in this formula will not directly supplement the local live gut flora, but they may promote a healthy gut environment, downregulate mucosal secretions and activate the local immune response.*After extensive laboratory tests, these lactobacilli cell wall fragments were used in clinical trials in 1992 at the State Cancer Hospital in St. Petersburg, Russia in a wide variety of in vivo situations requiring immune system support. Since then, cell wall fragments of lactobacillus strains have been used in Europe as immune stimulators for many years, and have consistently demonstrated efficacy.

Atractylodes is a digestive, liver and gall bladder tonic. In TCM, it is thought to support the functions of the stomach and spleen, the organs responsible for food digestion. Its actions also include detoxification, promotion of the non-specific immune response, and nurturing the function of the adrenal cortex.

Poria, or fu ling, is a solid fungus that grows on the roots of dead pine trees. It has been widely used in TCM since ancient times, and has traditionally been used as a tonic for the internal organs, including the spleen, lung, kidney, triple warmer, heart, bladder and gall bladder, and for skin health. As a yin tonic, it helps regulate body fluids and supports the circulation of chi in the triple warmer. It is calming to the nervous system, has diuretic effects, and plays a role in blood sugar regulation within normal levels.

Chinese yam (Dioscorea) tubers are a traditional food source in Asia, and a key ingredient in "the herb of eight ingredients", a traditional TCM preparation. In TCM, Dioscorea is considered a sweet substance that soothes and stimulates the stomach and spleen and tonifies the lungs and kidneys. It is thought to be digestive, and has traditionally been used for energy, to support appetite, digestion and weight gain.

Digestive enzymes consist of mainly of amylase (starch hydrolyzing enzyme), protease (protein hydrolyzing enzyme) and lipase (fat hydrolyzing enzymes). In addition to these, Intelac also contains cellulase (that hydrolyzes cellulose) and lactase (that hydrolyzes lactose). The enzymes in this complex are of microbial origin (fungal amylase, lipase, lactase, cellulase; and a bacterial neutral protease). The product is therefore entirely of non-animal origin. Digestive enzymes promote improved digestion and delivery of vital nutrients to the body. This benefits good health in many ways, including better elimination, improved energy levels and maintenance of healthy body weight. Enzymes also help prevent accumulation of undigested foods in the large intestine, which can be a source of toxicity for the body.

Note: We recommend Intelac supplement together with Immune-SP to support healthier body for people with Crohn's disease. The Intelac combined with Fumacell supplement is recommended to support people with Ulcerative colitis.
